Terms of Use
Last updated: September 26, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Haanora (“Haanora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of haanora.com, the Haanora web application, and any related features, tools, or services (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a school, program, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to both you and that organization.
2. Eligibility & Age Requirements
Haanora is built for students, and some users of the Service are minors. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and takes responsibility for your use of the Service, including any paid subscription.
We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete that account and data. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle minors’ data.
3. The Service
Haanora is an AI-assisted planning platform for students. Depending on your plan, the Service may include: a capacity-aware onboarding interview; AI-generated roadmaps and weekly plans; a dashboard, tracker, and momentum/progress tools; a “Second Brain” for captures and notes; a focus/study tool; “Circle” features for coordinating with peers (including pasting your own Google Meet links); an interview-preparation tool; and Hanu, an in-app AI assistant.
We may add, change, limit, or remove features at any time, including features tied to a specific plan or usage tier (for example, limits on how many roadmaps or AI generations a free account can create). We’ll try to give notice of material changes where practical, but the Service is provided on an evolving basis and is not a fixed, unchanging product.
4. Your Account
You sign in to Haanora using Google Sign-In. You’re responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account linked to Haanora, and for all activity that occurs under your Haanora account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Accounts are personal to you; you may not share, sell, or transfer your account.
- You must provide accurate information during onboarding and keep it reasonably up to date.
- One person may not maintain more than one free account to circumvent usage limits.
5. Subscriptions, Pricing & Payment
Haanora offers a free tier with limited usage, and paid plans (currently billed monthly, every 3 months, or as a one-time lifetime payment) that unlock additional features and higher usage limits. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page in USD or INR depending on your location, and may change from time to time; changes will apply to future billing cycles, not to a period you’ve already paid for.
Payments are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment processor. Haanora does not collect or store your full card, UPI, or bank details — Razorpay handles that directly, subject to its own terms and privacy policy.
- Monthly and quarterly plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then.
- Lifetime plans are a single one-time payment for ongoing access to the plan’s features, for as long as Haanora operates the Service in substantially its current form.
- Except where required by applicable law, fees already charged for a billing period are non-refundable, including if you stop using the Service partway through a period. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hanusharan1405@gmail.com and we’ll look into it.
- You are responsible for any applicable taxes not already included in the displayed price.
6. AI Features & Their Limits
Haanora uses third-party AI models to power roadmap generation, planning suggestions, and the Hanu assistant. These outputs are generated automatically and may be incomplete, inaccurate, generic, or occasionally wrong — including about deadlines, requirements, scores, schools, or other factual matters. Always verify anything important (application deadlines, eligibility criteria, test requirements, etc.) against the official source before relying on it.
Nothing generated by Haanora is professional academic, admissions, financial, legal, medical, or mental-health advice, and it is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified counselor, teacher, or professional. You are solely responsible for the decisions you make using information from the Service.
7. Your Content
“Your Content” means anything you input, upload, or generate through the Service — onboarding answers, roadmap and goal data, captures and notes, interview responses, and similar material. You retain ownership of Your Content.
You grant Haanora a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and process Your Content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service for you — for example, sending relevant parts of Your Content to AI providers to generate a roadmap or a Hanu response. This license ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account, except for copies retained briefly in backups or as required by law.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to submit it. Don’t submit content that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or that you don’t have permission to share (for example, another person’s private information).
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any applicable regulation.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract the Service’s source code, models, or underlying data, except as permitted by law.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service’s infrastructure, or attempt to bypass usage limits or access controls.
- Use the Service to generate or distribute spam, malware, or content that harasses, threatens, or impersonates others.
- Use Circle or any collaborative feature (including shared Google Meet links) to contact, harass, or share unwanted content with other users.
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access the Service outside of any API we expressly provide.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section, at our discretion and with or without notice depending on severity.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on and integrates with third-party providers, including Google (sign-in), Razorpay (payments), Supabase (data storage and infrastructure), and AI model providers used to power roadmap generation and Hanu. Your use of features that touch these providers is also subject to their own terms. Haanora is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services, and outages or changes on their end may affect the Service.
10. Intellectual Property
Haanora and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, the “Haanora” name and logo, and all related intellectual property, excluding Your Content. Except for the limited right to use the Service as permitted by these Terms, no rights are granted to you by implication or otherwise.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us at hanusharan1405@gmail.com.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service or a feature. Where reasonably possible, we’ll give notice before terminating an account in good standing. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations already incurred, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete. Some jurisdictions don’t allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Haanora and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or academic or admissions outcomes, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to Haanora in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 100 USD (or the INR equivalent) if you haven’t paid us anything.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Haanora harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or Your Content, except to the extent caused by Haanora’s own breach of these Terms or violation of law.
15. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, you and Haanora agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
Before filing a formal claim, we’d appreciate the chance to resolve things informally — email us at hanusharan1405@gmail.com and we’ll try to sort it out directly.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, legal requirements, or changes to how we operate. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we’ll make reasonable efforts to notify you (such as an in-app notice or email). Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Miscellaneous
- If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect.
- Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver of our right to do so later.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Haanora regarding the Service.
